Sportfishing Charters
Our boats and crews have
been fishing the entire Costa Rican coast since
1980 and this experience has taught us how when
and where the fish are. Our boats and crew always
place in every tournament we have entered. In
the last tournament held in Flamingo during the
last week of April 2007, our boat Good Dog placed
first with seven Marlin and four Sailfish releases
and our boat Crazy Dog placed second releasing
five Marlin with twelve hook ups. It's
this experience that will ensure you a good days
fishing on any of our boats. Our crews also have
a considerable amount of knowledge and experience
with fly fishing. If you enjoy fly fishing we
recommend you bring your own equipment. We maintain
a limited amount of fly rods which are usually
broken and replaced on a monthly basis.
Most of our anglers target
Billfish and January, February and March are our
best Marlin seasons in Flamingo with a few Sailfish
thrown in. In the early part of the year most
of the Sail fishing is in the southern part of
Costa Rica and we usually have one or two boats
in Golfito area. The Sailfish migrate up and down
the coast so there will always be an area along
the coast where the Sail fishing will be great.
From Golfito our boats will
move up to Quepos where usually February and
March is very productive for Sail fish. This
year in January 2007 the red tide moved into
the Quepos area and basically shut down the
fishing until March when the red tide moved
out. In 2008, the season should be back to normal
in Quepos.
We also offer trips to Cocos
Island, a Costa Rican island located 350 miles
southwest of Flamingo. These are a seven or
more days charter for up to six anglers. For
additional information about Cocos Island please
call us at 610.982.9604 or
