Costa Rica Fishing

Costa Rica's main fishing season is December thru May although May thru August is considered the prime season for Sailfish, November thru March is considered prime for Marlin but depending on the weather we fish year round for Snapper. Wahoo, Roosterfish, Tuna, Dorado, Sail and Marlin. Since December thru May is the dry season the waters are usually calm, therefore fishing is prime.

Travel the world and you will agree the best year around fishing is in Costa Rica. The most rewarding experience is to hook, catch and release a Marlin and here on the Pacific Coast we have Blue Marlin, about three to five hundred pounds, Black Marlin, seven to nine hundred pounds, and striped Marlin that average about 200 pounds. To hook a Marlin is truly a Kodak moment. back to top
